HIGHGATE TEA HOUSE
Location: London, UK
This multi-use garden house was built to replace an existing run-down cottage in the garden of a Highgate family home. The new structure is predominantly open plan, with garden storage and shower, built into the walls. The main space can be used as a dining room, gym, playroom or guest accommodation, increasing the flexibility of the main house. The undulating roof is is formed from CLT structure, with a sedum planting on top, to increase biodiversity, reduce water run off, and visibly extend the garden outlook from the upper floor of the family home.
